Stonebridge Pain Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team in Flushing, New York. As a vital member of our onsite surgical center, the Physician Assistant will be instrumental in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals suffering from chronic pain. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package.

Work Environment

The PA will operate in our state-of-the-art surgical center located in Flushing, New York, characterized by a collaborative and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through detailed medical history reviews and thorough physical examinations to formulate clear diagnostic conclusions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in close collaboration with supervising physicians and other team members, considering the unique needs of each patient.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications tailored to the patient's situation, ensuring effective pain management strategies are in place.
• Perform specific pain management procedures including joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, leveraging clinical training and appropriate credentials.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes, maintaining a strong commitment to quality care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and efficiently in our EMR/EHR system, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and training opportunities to stay current with industry best practices and advance personal clinical skills in pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will work with a diverse range of patients, primarily those dealing with chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, post-surgical pain, neuropathy, and fibromyalgia. The PA will play a critical role in developing empathic relationships with patients, ensuring that care is not only effective but also compassionate and responsive to the emotional and psychological needs of those enduring chronic discomfort.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the State of New York.
• National certification as a Physician Assistant from a recognized certifying body.
• At least 2 years of experience in pain management or a related healthcare field, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical competencies required for this role.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care, exemplifying empathy and understanding in all patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced pain management techniques, including minimally invasive procedures, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with integrated care models that include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and psychological counseling would be beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits
