Work Environment

This position is onsite at our bustling surgical center, where you will interact with a diverse group of healthcare professionals including physicians, surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with a commitment to standard business hours extending until 5:00 pm. Our center emphasizes teamwork, communication, and continual learning, making it an ideal setting for those looking to grow in their profession.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate their health conditions and needs.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop effective treatment plans that address each patient's unique pain management requirements.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and order necessary diagnostic tests to ascertain the best course of action.
• Administer various types of injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to alleviate patient pain.
• Prescribe medications judiciously while providing patients with in-depth guidance on pain management strategies.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously by keeping accurate records and adjusting treatment plans as required.
• Engage in patient education, informing individuals and families about pain management techniques and lifestyle changes.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improvements.
• Oversee the maintenance of patient records and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice caters to a variety of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. You will work with individuals spanning different age groups and backgrounds, many of whom have complex medical histories that require attentive and personalized care. This role is pivotal in promoting patient wellness through innovative pain management techniques, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Current PA-C certification.
• Active DEA and NPI numbers.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting such as a hospital, emergency room, or outpatient clinic.
• Prior experience in pain management or related fields is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of patient care regulations and best practices.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective patient interactions and collaboration with healthcare team members.

Compensation and Benefits

VitalEdge PA offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to the base salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. To further support your transition into our team, we also offer a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.
