Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and treat patients presenting with acute medical conditions, using advanced diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
• Manage discharge planning in coordination with case management teams to ensure smooth transitions of care for patients.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at improving the quality of care, enhancing cost-effectiveness, and optimizing healthcare delivery.
• Provide consultation services for inpatient admissions, responding to referrals from other healthcare providers regarding complex primary medical diagnoses.
• Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly to meet insurance requirements, including appealing any denials effectively.
• Participate in outpatient and inpatient consultations for specialty care, which may involve managing on-call responsibilities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient demographic, including children, adults, and seniors, showcasing the broad spectrum of urgent care needs. Your role will involve treating a variety of conditions such as minor injuries, infections, and chronic disease exacerbations, ensuring that all patients receive personalized and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of New York.
• DEA registration number is required.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• An aptitude for collaborating within a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare system.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an urgent care or similar healthcare setting.
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary teams and case management processes.

Compensation and Benefits
