Providence Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our esteemed Primary Care team in Hempstead, New York. Work Environment

This full-time position requires working onsite in our bustling outpatient office, which operates Monday through Friday, with hours scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our facility is equipped with the latest medical advancements and offers a supportive environment that encourages teamwork and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and document patients’ medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and X-rays, to assess health conditions.
• Diagnose illnesses and propose effective treatment plans for both acute and chronic diseases.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patients’ responses to treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedules using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care practices.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to collaborate on patient care and improve clinical protocols.
• Actively engage in continuous education and research to enhance clinical competencies and ensure the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will primarily serve adult patients with various medical conditions, focusing on empowering them to lead healthier lives. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid DEA number required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care or family medicine.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and family members, demonstrating strong listening skills.
• Excellent team collaboration skills, along with a patient-centered, empathetic approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization or significant experience in primary care, urgent care, internal medicine, or cardiology.
• Familiarity with patient care regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred, enhancing our ability to serve diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits
