Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality care according to national standards, ensuring that patient management aligns with both practice and health system goals.
• Work closely with office staff to develop efficient office practices aimed at improving patient experience and operational flow.
• Act as a liaison between practice management and hospital administration to advocate for practice needs, while fostering a unified identity within the healthcare team.
• Ensure the clinic meets all regulatory compliance standards through regular assessment and proactive changes based on evolving requirements.
• Proactively engage in patient management, including providing education, support, and care that is responsive to the unique needs of different age groups.
• Lead patient-centered practices by exemplifying strong provider-patient and provider-staff communication.
• Generate thorough and legible patient care records within a two-business-day timeframe to ensure continued high-quality care and compliance with all regulatory and billing requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will work primarily with a student population, including children, adolescents, and their families. Understanding the developmental stages of health and growth is essential, as the role requires tailoring healthcare approaches based on age-specific needs. You will assess, evaluate, and treat a range of medical conditions, working closely with students to promote health education and wellness initiatives suitable for school-aged children.

Qualifications

• NYS certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification.
• Current DEA license and ability to gain appropriate privileges at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Graduated from an AMA-approved Nurse Practitioner program and meet continuing education requirements for licensure.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working as a Nurse Practitioner, particularly in a primary care or school-based setting, is strongly preferred. Candidates with a proven track record in managing outpatient clinical care will be at an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $150,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, F. F.
