Work Environment

This full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the day ending at 5:00 PM. The role is primarily onsite at our bustling surgical center, where you will engage with patients ranging from post-operative surgical cases to general health inquiries. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review patient medical histories to evaluate ongoing health conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies (such as X-rays), to assess patient conditions.
• Diagnose various health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans for both chronic and acute issues.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with the clinical guidelines and state regulations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative measures, fostering an environment of open communication.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care approaches and manage overall patient health.
• Provide ongoing patient education sessions on wellness and health maintenance, emphasizing disease prevention strategies.
• Engage in professional development activities including clinical research and continuing education to enhance medical knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve adult patients in a surgical environment, including pre-and post-operative care. Your focus will extend to managing diverse health conditions, ensuring each patient receives personalized care tailored to their specific needs and backgrounds. As part of our commitment to health equity, bilingual candidates are especially encouraged, though it is not a requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Required licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State, with an active DEA number.
• PA-C certification is essential.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to patient welfare.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, enhancing patient interactions and team collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a healthcare setting (e.g., clinic, hospital, emergency room).
• Experience in primary care, urgent care, and surgical assistance will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in health regulations and best practices in patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to USD 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
