Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital facility, providing direct care within an urgent care clinic setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and review electronic and physical medical records to assess health status.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and X-rays to inform clinical decisions.
• Diagnose and effectively manage a variety of acute health conditions, including injuries and infections, in a time-sensitive manner.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic health issues.
• Prescribe medications judiciously, continuously evaluating their effectiveness and making adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and ensure efficient management of patient schedules.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, disease prevention strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Promote overall wellness within the community by encouraging and practicing preventive healthcare measures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through attendance at workshops and staying updated on medical research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will care for a diverse patient population at our urgent care clinic, including individuals of all ages. Patients often present with acute health concerns, ranging from minor injuries to more complex medical issues. Our goal is to address immediate health needs while fostering long-term relationships that contribute to our patients' overall health and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant and successful completion of the national certifying exam.
• Proven clinical experience in an urgent care, ER, clinic, or hospital setting.
• Strong clinical knowledge of primary and acute care practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• A commitment to ethical practices and patient-centered care.
• The ability to work well under pressure while exhibiting a calm and composed demeanor in challenging situations.
• A DEA registration is required for this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to prescribe medications and experience with pharmacotherapy.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish or another language are a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
