Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in our surgical center, which features state-of-the-art facilities designed to facilitate a variety of surgical procedures and outpatient care. You will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, concluding tasks by 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations of patients to assess and diagnose their health conditions.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including blood tests, X-rays, and other imaging studies.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for both chronic and acute medical conditions, ensuring evidence-based practices are applied.
• Prescribe medications judiciously and educate patients about their prescriptions, including potential side effects and usage.
• Maintain meticulous medical records and patient schedules using our electronic health record system.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, preventative measures, and chronic disease management.
• Promote overall health and wellness among patients through counseling and education regarding healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development activities, such as attending workshops and conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As part of a surgical center, you will interact with a diverse patient demographic ranging from adolescents to seniors, who may present with a wide variety of health issues. This role requires an ability to empathize with patients who may be anxious about surgical procedures or ongoing health concerns, ensuring they feel supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• A valid Physician Assistant license to practice in New York State.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a DEA number for prescribing medications.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience within primary care or a related specialty, which may include acute care, family health, or emergency medicine.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Background in managing surgical patients and familiarity with surgical procedures is highly desirable.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus, contributing to effective communication with our diverse patient community.
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing clinical knowledge through research and ongoing education.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust salary, employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
