Work Environment

The role will be located onsite at our hospital facility in Oyster Bay, where you will engage with patients and other healthcare team members daily. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients in an urgent care setting.
• Order, perform, and interpret radiological examinations, laboratory tests, and EKGs to guide patient management.
• Triage patients effectively, ensuring efficient traffic flow and minimizing waiting times in our facility.
• Perform minor surgical interventions including wound closure and management, incision and drainage procedures, and foreign body removal.
• Administer joint aspirations, injections, and digital blocks and regional anesthesia as clinically indicated.
• Initiate IV therapy and manage care for simple fractures and dislocations, ensuring proper application of immobilization devices.
• Provide educational resources and consultation to patients and their families regarding healthcare practices.
• Lead clinical operations during shifts, providing guidance and training to fellow advance practice clinicians.
• Document patient encounters using our proprietary electronic health record system to ensure continuity of care.
• Review and manage daily operational tasks including patient callbacks and follow-up on lab results.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner in our urgent care clinic, you will cater to a diverse demographic, treating individuals from various age groups, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. This role requires you to be adept at managing a wide array of acute health issues while fostering an empathetic approach to patient care. Qualifications

• A valid New York license to practice as a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an emergency room, urgent care, or similar fast-paced healthcare setting.
• A completed Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; a Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including two full weekends per month, to accommodate clinic requirements.
• Broad clinical expertise to support patients across all age groups and medical concerns.
• Possess and maintain active DEA registration and relevant medical licenses.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in performing a wide range of minor surgical procedures relevant to urgent care.
• A background in utilizing electronic medical records systems to enhance clinical workflows.
• Familiarity with current healthcare technologies that improve patient care efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
