Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough women's health assessments, which include taking detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and conducting necessary screenings to identify health concerns.
• Diagnose and create treatment plans for a wide range of women's health issues, such as gynecological infections, menstrual disorders, and symptoms related to menopause.
• Provide family planning services that encompass contraceptive education, counseling, and prescribing contraceptives tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform routine gynecological exams, including Pap smears and breast examinations, ensuring early detection and prevention of health issues.
• Manage prenatal care for expecting mothers, providing guidance on fetal development, maternal health, and childbirth education.
• Collaboratively work with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive prenatal care.
• Educate patients on sexual and reproductive health topics, including STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception counseling.
• Utilize diagnostic tests effectively; order and interpret results from ultrasounds and lab tests, then develop tailored treatment plans based on findings.
• Prescribe necessary medications while monitoring patient responses and managing any side effects, ensuring optimal therapeutic effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, documenting patient interactions and care plans efficiently.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on a diverse population of women, ranging from adolescents to seniors, each with unique health concerns and needs. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license valid in New York State.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• A minimum of 1 year of proven clinical experience in women's health, ideally within an OB/GYN or primary care setting.
• Strong knowledge of women's health issues, including gynecological health, family planning, and prenatal care.

Compensation and Benefits
