Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our surgical center in Oyster Bay, NY, where you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. The center is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and comfortable facilities, ensuring the highest standard of care and a positive experience for both staff and patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a standard 5:00 PM shift, allowing for a well-structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations to assess healthcare needs and review medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies, to guide treatment decisions.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat various acute and chronic health conditions across a diverse patient population.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for chronic diseases, ensuring consistent follow-up care.
• Prescribe medications as necessary and monitor patient responses to treatments for effectiveness and safety.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records, complying with healthcare regulations, and facilitate efficient scheduling.
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and management to promote better health outcomes.
• Oversee the overall well-being of patients within our facility, focusing on preventive care and health promotion.
• Engage in continuous learning through professional development opportunities and research initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In the role of Physician Assistant at Quest Urgent Care, you will serve a diverse client base, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients, presenting with various acute and chronic health issues. Your expertise will not only help in immediate medical needs but also in advocating for preventive health as part of our ongoing community health mission.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required.
• Current Physician Assistant certification or eligibility.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in New York State.
• Valid DEA registration to prescribe medications.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus, supporting effective communication with our diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally in an urgent care or primary care setting.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic testing and treatment protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges between USD 140,000 and USD 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we offer an annual quality incentive with a target of $50,000. Comprehensive benefits include:
