Work Environment

This role will be onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Mineola, New York, where the team is focused on maintaining a positive and efficient atmosphere. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and initial evaluations for patients presenting with personal injuries, understanding individual patient needs and documenting findings thoroughly.
• Prescribe appropriate medications such as NSAIDs, muscle relaxants, and medicated patches as part of pain management protocols.
• Order necessary diagnostic imaging, including MRIs, to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct remote consultations, ensuring continuity of care for patients unable to visit the clinic in person.
• Coordinate referrals to physical therapy and specialists, particularly in pain management, ensuring a seamless transition in patient care.
• Manage and document patient medical records meticulously, adhering to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality and system integrity.
• Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily focus on patients with surgical needs, including those dealing with chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Current and valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• Completion of a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
