Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant within our outpatient pediatric setting, you will work onsite in our surgical center, where collaboration and communication are key components of our patient care approach. You'll be an integral part of a cohesive medical team, including pediatricians, nurses, and administrative staff, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring children receive the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse population of pediatric patients, ranging from infants to young adults. The focus is on outpatient management of conditions such as acute illnesses, chronic pain, developmental disorders, and preventive health.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) with an active New York State license.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on pediatrics or related fields.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner that was grandfathered-in prior to the Master’s requirement will be considered, provided applicable hands-on experience is demonstrated.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information relevant to the pediatric patient population.
• Proficiency in engaging with a diverse healthcare team, including responding to inquiries and discussions with leadership and colleagues.
• A strong commitment to understanding and addressing the health disparities within low-income communities.
• Readiness to adapt quickly to the changing dynamics of healthcare practices and policies.

Preferred Experience
