Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with pain and chronic conditions, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using advanced tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

• Perform minor surgical procedures and interventional pain management techniques under the guidance of attending physicians, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for the patients.

• Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle modifications to empower them in their health journey, enhancing adherence and satisfaction.

• Maintain meticulous medical records and documentation of all patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients experiencing chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. You will engage with a diverse population, tailoring your approach to meet the cultural and emotional needs of each patient. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program is required.

• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

• State licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York, with the ability to practice within the state’s regulatory scope.

• Demonstrated strong clinical skills and the ability to operate independently while staying within your scope of practice.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to provide empathetic care and effectively collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly in pain management or a related field.
