Work Environment

This role requires onsite engagement with our multidisciplinary team at various office locations. The selected candidate will work in a hospital setting that prioritizes patient health and safety. Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring that you have the resources you need to provide exceptional care. You will typically manage a schedule that allows for either a four-day or five-day work week, with the expectation of treating approximately 20 patients per day.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our Interventional Pain Management Office, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Performing comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Administering ultrasound-guided trigger point injections, joint injections, and nerve blocks as part of the interventional treatment process.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop cohesive and effective care plans.
• Documenting patient progress and treatment efficacy in electronic health records accurately.
• Educating patients about their conditions and the various treatment options available to them.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be working with patients suffering from a range of chronic pain conditions, which may include:

• Lower back pain
• Shoulder pain
• Knee pain
• Elbow pain
• Osteoarthritis

By focusing on these conditions, you will have a direct impact on improving patients' quality of life and helping them regain functionality. Your work will involve understanding the unique backgrounds and challenges faced by each patient, thus tailoring treatment to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Active New York State Physician Assistant License (NYS PA License).
• PA-C Certification, indicating you are board certified as a Physician Assistant.
• Current DEA registration number and an NPI number.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience working in interventional pain management as a Physician Assistant. Experience with procedures such as ultrasound-guided injections and nerve blocks, along with a solid understanding of pain management protocols, is highly desirable. A proven ability to work with interdisciplinary teams will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
