Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to accurately assess the cause and intensity of pain, utilizing both interviews and physical examinations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that may include pharmacological management, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies, ensuring each plan is holistic and patient-centered.
• Administer and monitor pain management treatments, providing necessary education and support to patients and their families regarding expected outcomes and potential side effects.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to adapt treatment strategies based on patient feedback and advancing pain management methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous patient records in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements, ensuring a continuum of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in our pain management clinic will primarily serve patients experiencing chronic pain conditions, including post-surgical pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain. Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Active licensure to practice in New York State.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a pain management or surgical setting.
