Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with acute and chronic pain, formulating effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Administer preventive health care through regular check-ups, screenings, and immunization updates, while assessing the efficacy of treatment protocols.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and lab work, ensuring timely follow-up and communication of results with patients.
• Document all patient encounters meticulously in electronic health records (EHR), adhering to regulatory guidelines and maintaining clear communication with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapies.
• Collaborate with other specialists as necessary to coordinate care, including post-operative follow-ups and referrals for advanced treatment options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Physician Assistant, you will cater primarily to adult patients experiencing a wide range of pain conditions, from musculoskeletal issues to post-operative recovery. You will be tasked with assessing both the physical and psychological aspects of pain, advocating for a holistic approach to treatment that includes both medical interventions and supportive therapies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Active Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a pain management or surgical setting.
• Strong aptitude for multitasking and exceptional time management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and basic diagnostic tools; familiarity with pain management protocols is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in managing patients with chronic pain, spinal conditions, or orthopedic concerns.
• Background in case management, incorporating social determinants of health into care strategies.
• Training in pain management techniques, including the use of interventional procedures, injections, or rehabilitation practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
