Work Environment

Located onsite within a state-of-the-art hospital facility in Brooklyn, our work setting is fast-paced yet collaborative. The team operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while delivering quality patient care. As a Physician Assistant in this facility, you will have access to advanced medical technology and resources that support our mission of effective pain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients suffering from complex pain conditions, ensuring each patient receives personalized care.
• Administer precise therapeutic injections, including joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, while monitoring patient responses and outcomes closely.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists and other specialists to ensure continuity of care and successful recovery trajectories for each patient.
• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 16 patients, maintaining effective organization and time management to address individual needs and treatment goals.
• Utilize electronic health record systems to meticulously document patient interactions and treatment progress, adhering to organizational standards and compliance regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population at our clinic primarily consists of individuals dealing with chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and related conditions. Our diverse clientele come from various backgrounds and demographics, requiring our team to be culturally competent and sensitive to individual patient needs. The focus is always on delivering compassionate, high-quality care with a commitment to understanding each patient's pain journey.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid New York State Physician Assistant license, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program, equipping you with the necessary theoretical knowledge and clinical skills.
• Valid DEA certification to dispense controlled medications, meeting legal and professional requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, or musculoskeletal care is highly preferred, equipping you with specialized insights that enhance patient interactions.
• Experience in procedures specific to interventional pain management is a significant advantage, supporting your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
