Work Environment

The practice operates within a hospital setting, allowing for a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our collaborative environment fosters communication and teamwork among healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and administrative staff. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a balanced work schedule to support your well-being and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate pain levels and functional abilities through physical examinations and patient interviews.
• Prescribe medications and develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, ensuring alignment with therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss complex cases and develop integrated patient management strategies.
• Utilize clinical findings, diagnostic tests, and imaging reports to diagnose acute and chronic pain conditions accurately.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, expected outcomes, and self-management techniques to promote active participation in their care.
• Monitor patients’ health status, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize pain management and enhance quality of life.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with legal and institutional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on adult patients suffering from a variety of pain-related issues, including but not limited to chronic back pain, neuropathic pain, arthritis, and pain following surgical procedures. Our clinic aims to serve a diverse population, many of whom may have limited access to specialized care. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• 2-5 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in pain management or related fields.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• A demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of pain management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with chronic pain assessment tools and treatment modalities.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and practice management software.
• Prior exposure to multi-disciplinary pain management approaches is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $180,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
