Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Hempstead, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Assist physicians in performing various interventional pain management procedures, such as injections or nerve blocks, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in alignment with established protocols, closely monitoring for efficacy and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Document patient progress meticulously and maintain accurate medical records according to HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
• Provide education and support to patients regarding pain management strategies, including lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and therapeutic options.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and follow-up appointments, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in this role will primarily focus on providing care to patients with a range of chronic pain conditions, including, but not limited to, post-operative pain, neuropathic pain, and musculoskeletal disorders. The ideal candidate will be empathetic and understand the profound impact chronic pain can have on an individual's quality of life. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
• A current Physician Assistant license in the state of New York is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
