Work Environment

As a member of our onsite Pain Management practice, you will collaborate closely with a team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to formulate effective treatment plans in collaboration with medical physicians.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions accurately.
• Administer various injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to alleviate pain and enhance functionality.
• Prescribe medications and develop pain management strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, ensuring they understand treatment plans and self-care practices.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care through collaborative discussions and strategic planning.
• Provide insight and education on health conditions, medications, and prevention strategies to empower patients regarding their health.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pain management and engage in continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Pain Management department primarily serves patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to fibromyalgia, back pain, arthritis, and post-surgical pain syndromes. We prioritize a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing not just the symptoms but also factors contributing to our patients' overall health and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current valid Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• National certification (PA-C) is required.
• Possession of a valid DEA and NPI number for prescribing medications.

Preferred Experience

• Proven clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, family health, urgent care, or emergency department settings.
• Experience specifically in pain management or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of health regulations and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize and engage effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability in rapidly changing environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to USD 160,000, based on experience and qualifications.
