Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnose patients dealing with chronic pain, identifying suitable candidates for interventional pain management procedures.
• Manage chronic medication regimens, ensuring adherence to therapeutic goals and providing extensive information to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
• Consult and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Perform complete physical examinations, utilizing an understanding of musculoskeletal and pain medicine to assess and formulate appropriate management plans.
• Utilize clinical information, including laboratory results and diagnostic imaging, to diagnose acute and chronic illnesses in compliance with established protocols.
• Develop, initiate, and monitor personalized treatment plans for patients under your care, regularly assessing their health status and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients suffering from a range of chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to back pain, arthritis, neuropathy, and post-surgical pain syndromes. By focusing on a holistic treatment approach, you will be integral in improving patients' functional capabilities and quality of life, ultimately assisting them in their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current and active licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in pain management or related healthcare areas.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Strong organizational abilities, allowing efficient management of patient caseloads in a busy healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management and familiarity with interventional pain management techniques, such as injections or physical therapy.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and patient tracking.
• Knowledge of current pain management methodologies and treatment protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
