Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, utilizing advanced diagnostic skills to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual pain management needs.
• Engage in procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive interventions, ensuring quality outcomes through a compassionate approach.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, facilitating effective discharge planning and continuity of care for hospitalized patients.
• Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their diagnoses and treatment options, empowering them with knowledge to manage their pain effectively.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation to comply with insurance requirements, managing appeals for any denials efficiently to support patient access to care.
• Participate in on-call rotations as necessary, extending your expertise beyond standard hours to ensure that patients receive timely and effective care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in this role will focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals with chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and post-surgical pain complaints. You will collaborate with patients from various backgrounds and age groups, tailoring interventions to their specific circumstances and health literacy levels. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or an equivalent qualification recognized by the state of New York.
• An active and valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New York is required.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably in pain management or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
