Full-Time Nurse Practitioner for Comprehensive Pain Management

Position Overview

Iron Gate Health & Pain Center is actively seeking a dedicated and competent Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team in Lindenhurst, New York. This full-time position involves working onsite at our Assisted Living Facility, providing high-quality care focused on pain management and rehabilitation. The role offers a structured 5-day work week, Monday through Friday, with a total of 40 working hours per week, allowing for a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and meticulously documenting patient medical histories to discern treatment pathways.
• Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic illnesses with a focus on musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain.
• Formulating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
• Ordering, interpreting, and following up on diagnostic tests, which are pivotal in evaluating treatment efficacy.
• Providing valuable patient education on pain management, preventive care, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless continuum of medical care.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) that contribute to ongoing patient care and facility standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves residents within the Assisted Living Facility, where a significant portion of the patient population may have chronic pain conditions or mobility issues. The Nurse Practitioner will engage with a diverse group of elderly patients, offering tailored support while enhancing their quality of life through effective pain management strategies.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure from the state of New York.
• A master’s degree in nursing, specifically as a Nurse Practitioner.
• A strong foundation of clinical experience, particularly a minimum of 2 years in pain management or conducting physical examinations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills, along with the ability to function as a cohesive team player.
• The capacity to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience is the minimum requirement, preference will be given to candidates who have experience specifically in pain management settings or geriatrics, facilitating a deeper understanding of the unique challenges faced by our patients.

Compensation and Benefits
