Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individualized pain management needs.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans, incorporating medication management, physical therapy, and alternative therapies.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, pain management techniques, and lifestyle adjustments to achieve optimal recovery.
• Monitor ongoing patient progress, refining treatment approaches based on clinical responses.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for documentation, facilitating effective communication across the care team.
• Participate in interdepartmental consultations and case reviews to ensure comprehensive patient support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Pain Management Department serves a diverse patient population, ranging from those with acute pain to chronic pain syndromes. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will engage with patients from various backgrounds, requiring tailored approaches to meet their specific cultural and medical needs. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and licensure to practice in New York State.
• Certification as a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification are preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, specifically in pain management or a related specialty.
• Demonstrated expertise in utilizing evidence-based practices for pain assessment and treatment.
• Experience in a hospital work environment is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
