Work Environment

This full-time position is located onsite at our Surgical Center in Islip, New York. Here, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, all committed to a patient-centric approach. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients experiencing pain to determine accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment strategies.
• Order and interpret necessary imaging studies to support clinical decision-making.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, which may include prescribing non-narcotic medications, physical therapy, and scheduling interventional procedures.
• Regularly update patient records and ensure documentation reflects the most current assessment findings and treatment plans.
• Provide patient education regarding pain management options and support their journey towards recovery.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery and streamline patient care processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve assessing and treating patients suffering from chronic pain conditions including but not limited to back pain, joint issues, and post-surgical discomfort. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related healthcare field is required.
• Active New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong proficiency in conducting physical examinations and making accurate diagnoses consistent with best practices in pain management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage meaningfully with patients and team members alike.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a cohesive healthcare team, with a focus on patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in pain management or a related specialty.
• Experience with electronic health record systems to streamline documentation and patient management processes.
• Familiarity with injection therapies and interventional pain management techniques is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package for this role ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
