Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

Join a dynamic and patient-centered environment in a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit that delivers quality care for a diverse patient population. As an RN, you will collaborate with a dedicated Interdisciplinary Care Team to ensure positive patient outcomes while fostering a supportive atmosphere for learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care considering patients' physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
• Utilize clinical pathways and evidence-based practices to enhance patient education and care delivery.
• Effectively communicate with team members through collegial relationships and structured communication techniques.
• Demonstrate leadership by acting as a clinical resource and professional role model for peers.
• Manage time efficiently to contribute to the overall performance and productivity of the team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a direct Medical Surgical unit role.
• Experience in Level II or I Trauma settings is required.
• Current Michigan RN license verification (LARA and Nursys).
• BLS certification (AHA) is mandatory.
