Location 1226 W Michigan St, Indianapolis, IN (online applications accepted) Job Summary Marketing Intern position at Compass Group, starting in August. Work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program at Indiana University – Indianapolis. This role involves marketing research, planning, promotion, and execution of various projects and events. Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Customer service experience or knowledge Knowledge of social media platforms Strong interpersonal skills General interest and knowledge of marketing Knowledge of graphic design tools is a plus Prior marketing‑related experience is a plus Experience in event planning and execution Job Responsibilities (May include any or all) Assist with planning, organizing and hosting events Assist with Dine on Campus initiatives Assist in social media calendar development and promotions Act as a brand representative Conduct marketing audits Conduct general administrative tasks Complete Marketing Boot Camp Survey students to collect marketing research Create marketing materials to numerous specifications Manage signage in multiple locations Assist with the creation of concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate messages to the target market Manage website and social networking profile content Attend meetings or other events as required Learning Objectives Demonstrate awareness, understanding, and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment Learn how to create and implement a marketing plan Learn how to conduct market research and use it to generate a larger audience or increase buy‑in Learn how to use multiple platforms and strategies to effectively promote a brand Employment Conditions Paid intern position not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, or vision. Because this position requires services in an educational facility, periods of inactivity (e.g., winter or summer breaks when food service needs decline) may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, work may be required year‑round. Pay is $17.00 per hour.
