What Makes You a Fit

4 years of experience operating forging equipment or heavy industrial machinery. Ability to read work orders, blueprints, part drawings, and die setup sheets. Skilled in using basic measurement and inspection tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 5075 lbs. and work in a hot, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate forging machines such as upsetters, headers, or presses. Operate a sit-down forklift as needed. Install and align dies, tooling, punches, and guides according to production requirements. Heat material to the proper forging temperature using induction heaters, gas furnaces, or electric heating systems. Monitor forging cycles, machine timing, and material feed to ensure proper part formation. Load bars, cut lengths, or raw stock into the machine, ensuring proper lubrication and positioning.
