This project requires the collection and reporting data to produce leads for actionable investigative reports, predicated upon data research of government and commercial data systems to verify status of potential status violators. Reports are automated and disseminated to the government client. We perform data entry from multiple client systems, intelligence sources, and law enforcement databases and generate analysis of the collected information. Requires investigating research analysts to input collected information into a database and produce summary products in support of Homeland Security Law Enforcement. Responsibilities Act as liaison between the government client and technical staff to provide accurate and timely reporting of statistics. Conduct statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification. Manage all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems. Understand the process of building reports (leads). Evaluate the database needs of our applications and optimize them using MongoDB & Python. Research, develop, and test queries using Mongo & Python data analytic tools. Analyze, query, and extract data from Mongo & Python databases as part of client ad hoc requests. Conduct trend analysis. Evaluate statistical methods and advanced technical research techniques to develop strategies based on client requirements. Analyze data integrity and consistency to obtain a quantitative basis for decision making and resource allocation. Develop strategies to exploit the various internal and external data sources to refine the intelligence analysis process. Provide written reports as required. Proficiency in MS Access and Excel. Assimilate, integrate, and interface technical knowledge with business/systems requirements. Create high-level reports for client and upper levels of DHS. Monitor report requests and provide end-user support to internal and external client. Complete quality projects timely and accurately. Analyze current and potential systems for conversions. Conduct analytical research in support of assigned Criminal Investigative Mission. Qualifications The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of MongoDB & Python, coding principles, methodologies, and best practices, and experience working in the backend of various databases. A team player who is a quick learner, asks questions, takes initiative, and produces accurate work. Proactive, learns and understands the customer's SOPs, and completes tasks with no errors. Successful analysts have excellent time management skills and work well under pressure. Hours and Schedule Monday-Friday, generally 8-hour workday aligned with core hours of 8 AM to 4 PM, though hours could float between 6 AM-10 PM depending on mission requirements. Salary Likely salary range: $70,658 – $81,650.
