Director, Outcomes Research (Prostate and Kidney Cancers)

Merck seeks a Director of Outcomes Research to lead value evidence and real-world evidence initiatives for prostate and kidney cancer products. The role involves designing observational studies, developing health economic dossiers, and collaborating across functions to support reimbursement and market access globally.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Medical Affairs to develop, execute, and deliver value and implementation plans for prostate and kidney cancer programs
• Design and conduct observational studies, develop protocols, case report forms, and analysis plans; author final reports and publications
• Create AMCP dossiers for U.S. payers and Global Value Dossiers for HTA submissions and reimbursement agencies
• Manage study contracting, budgets, vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and international standards
• Support country affiliates in adapting health economic evaluations and customizing research documents to local requirements

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DrPH, ScD, or PharmD) with fellowship in health services research, outcomes research, epidemiology, or related discipline
• 4+ years post-doctoral or 7+ years post-master's experience in life sciences industry conducting non-interventional research
• Demonstrated experience in oncology
• Expertise in health economics, pharmacoeconomics, and study design
• Strong data analysis, evidence gathering, and research reporting capabilities
• Experience with payer and reimbursement landscape knowledge
