Overview:
Our client is hiring a Technical Accounting Manager to support a large, transaction-driven organization operating within a complex and highly regulated environment. This role combines hands-on technical accounting responsibilities with cross-functional project leadership tied to business growth, system enhancements, and evolving operational processes.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting fundamentals, experience navigating complex business environments, and the ability to partner effectively across finance, operations, systems, and leadership teams. This position offers strong visibility, collaborative leadership, and long-term growth potential within a well-established organization.

Responsibilities :
• Develop a strong understanding of business operations, products, systems, and workflows across assigned areas
• Lead or support project scoping, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and implementation activities
• Interpret accounting guidance and internal policies into practical business and system requirements
• Identify accounting, operational, and reporting risks and drive issue resolution proactively
• Manage timelines, milestones, dependencies, and coordination across cross-functional teams
• Communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders across multiple levels
• Research, document, and present technical accounting conclusions and policy recommendations
• Prepare, review, and maintain journal entries across multiple accounting areas in accordance with GAAP
• Support timely and accurate month-end close activities including accruals, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Evaluate financial reporting risk and internal control effectiveness within assigned processes
• Partner with external auditors to support audit requests and control testing activities
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies across accounting workflows

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of accounting and/or technical accounting experience
• Experience supporting complex, regulated, or high-volume transaction environments
• Strong GAAP knowledge with ability to research and document accounting conclusions
• Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
• Public accounting and/or large public company experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with process improvement experience
• Experience working with large ERP systems, Oracle preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Understanding of financial reporting risk, SOX, and internal controls
• CPA
• Experience within technology, fintech, payments, financial services, or other regulated industries
