About The Opportunity A well-established and growing Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) organization is seeking an experienced Controller – AEC Industry Salary: $160,000–$180,000 + Bonus Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid) About The Opportunity A well-established and growing Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting function. This is a highly visible leadership position with direct exposure to ownership and executive leadership, offering the opportunity to influence financial reporting, improve accounting processes, and support overall business performance. The Controller will oversee the accounting team and partner closely with operational and executive leaders in a project-based business environment. Key Responsibilities Direct the organization's accounting operations, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Lead, manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis Maintain compliance with GAAP and established internal control requirements Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations for business decisions Identify and implement accounting process improvements and efficiency initiatives Coordinate audit activities, tax compliance, and external financial reporting requirements Support operational leadership with financial information related to project performance and business results Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Eight or more years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities AEC industry experience is required Deltek Vantagepoint experience is required Strong knowledge of project accounting, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition Demonstrated experience leading accounting teams and improving accounting processes CPA designation is preferred but not required Work Environment & Benefits Hybrid 3/2 work schedule Collaborative and team-focused culture Direct visibility with ownership and executive leadership Bonus opportunity Strong long-term career stability and growth potential Why Apply?
