A growing organization is seeking a Procurement Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day procurement processes and systems, allowing procurement leadership to focus on strategic priorities.
This role serves as the central point of contact for operational and system-related requests, owning intake, prioritization, coordination, and escalation. The manager will also train stakeholders on procurement best practices and help build scalable processes as the organization grows.
The Procurement Operations Manager will partner closely with Accounts Payable (AP), Finance, Legal, IT, and business stakeholders to support efficient end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) execution. The ideal candidate brings strong S2P knowledge, operational leadership experience, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership and Systems Support

• Establish priorities, goals, and performance expectations for procurement systems support activities.

• Provide guidance and escalation support to resolve procurement process and system issues.

• Maintain consistent service levels, documentation, and communication for procurement inquiries.

• Train stakeholders on procurement processes, systems, and best practices.

Request Management and Prioritization

• Serve as the central intake point for procurement operational and system-related requests.

• Track and prioritize requests, balancing strategic initiatives with daily operational needs.

• Develop and maintain structured intake, triage, and escalation processes to support timely execution and visibility.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee and support the end-to-end S2P lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and industry best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.

• Identify process gaps and partner with stakeholders to implement scalable solutions.

• Ensure procurement processes support downstream AP activities, including invoice processing and payment workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with AP, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to support seamless procure-to-pay workflows.

• Act as a liaison between procurement operations, systems support, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and align priorities.

• Serve as a procurement subject matter expert on cross-functional projects, advising on process design and system impacts.

• Maintain alignment between procurement execution and AP requirements.

Technology and Tools

• Oversee the effective use of procurement systems; Coupa experience is strongly preferred.

• Maintain appropriate governance, controls, and documentation for procurement system processes.

• Collaborate with IT and Finance to improve system efficiency, reporting, and integrations.

Leadership Support and Reporting

• Manage tactical and operational activities to enable procurement leadership to focus on strategic initiatives.

• Provide operational insights, metrics, and reporting to support decision-making.

• Monitor trends in requests, system issues, and process performance to identify improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• At least eight years of experience in procurement operations, supply chain, or S2P environments.

• Strong understanding of S2P processes, including requisitioning, sourcing, contracting, procure-to-pay (P2P), invoicing, and supplier management.

• Demonstrated ability to manage operational workflows, prioritize requests, and resolve issues.

• Excellent organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
