Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night - 12x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours: 36 Experience: 3 years required; travel experience required License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, TNCC Must-Have: EPIC charting system experience required Description: ED RN Mids position available. 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Mandatory holiday coverage as scheduled. Floating within specialty may be required. Patient ratio is 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity patient group. Average daily census is 140. Facility has 46 beds accommodating all age ranges. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, and respiratory illness. Special equipment used includes Belmont in trauma, Giraffe warmer for neonates, rapid infuser, and Lucas for cardiac arrests. Previous charge experience preferred. Community hospital experience preferred. Travel experience is required; first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience may still be considered. Required skills include management of ventilated patients, intubation, blood product administration, and management of dysrhythmias, among others. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions or special requests.
