The engineer will work in a team environment creating and maintaining source code for enterprise applications primarily written in Java, and work with team leaders in troubleshooting issues. Engineers may be assigned to support one or more applications across the enterprise. Engineers are also responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle including unit testing and the creation and maintenance of documentation relating to applications and/or tools they maintain.Full Sail is a cross-platform environment supporting Linux, macOS, and Windows.Technical Abilities3 or more years experience using Java, C#, or another object-oriented programming language3 or more years experience using SQL1 or more years experience using Linux OS1 or more years experience writing and deploying applications in the cloudExperience in the following is a plusWeb and mobile application developmentIssue trackingAdvanced JavaScriptApex and SalesforceWorkdayColdFusionPHPAI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude)Design AbilitiesFamiliarity with enterprise integration patternsFamiliarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit)Familiarity with application frameworks (e.g., Spring)Familiarity with web services and microservicesWorking understanding of client/server architectureWorking understanding of asynchronous, message-oriented communicationWorking understanding of process documentationWorking understanding of software lifecycle methodologyThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
