Details Work in the Emergency Room of a 217-bed regional health center Unit has 17 beds with a 1:6 patient ratio and averages 40 visits per day Patient population is primarily adults and geriatrics Uses MediTech EHR system Shift runs 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Weekend rotation is every other weekend Call coverage required 24/7 to support daily volume 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC Minimum 2 years of acute care facility experience required Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required Must pass an Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Provide emergency care to a primarily adult and geriatric patient population Facility offers a wide range of services including Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics, Wound Care, Pain Clinic, and Sleep Lab Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment Located in Ottumwa, IA, known for its river town charm, trails, and low cost of living American Traveler Job ID P-746564.
