Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Position Overview The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level nursing role within the Clinical Advancement Program, responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in a nephrology setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis Document and adjust treatment plans Provide patient and family education Administer medications and assist with emergency responses Collaborate with the healthcare team Ensure proper laboratory procedures Participate in staff training and quality improvement activities Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school, valid state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and less than 2 years of nephrology RN experience. Preferred experience in hemodialysis. Physical & Work Environment Involves heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and potential exposure to infectious materials, within a healthcare facility setting. Supervision & Advancement May oversee staff after meeting specific experience and training requirements, with opportunities to complete CAP requirements for career growth.
