- Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in consultation with physicians as dictated by your credentials
- Engaging and educating patients and their families on preventative measures, wellness strategies, and effective disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments within your licensure scope
- Involved in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive and comprehensive care
- Maintaining precise and thorough documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Holding a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Kentucky
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
