Transportation Assistant

Transportation Assistant
Major duties include, but are not limited to:
- Processes beneficiary travel claims utilizing the BTSSS, ECAMS, IPPS and HSRM programs.
- Coordinates and monitors the patient transfers throughout the process, intervening when necessary to ensure a positive outcome.
- Works with community facilities, other VA facilities and other veteran organizations to coordinate patient transportation.
- Tracks denied transfers/transportation for Mobility Manager to review.
- Initiates and coordinates patient transportation accurately and timely, as required for scheduled appointments with various services and clinics at outside facilities and other VA Medical Centers.
- Assists patients in the rescheduling of appointments for travel.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
This is not a virtual position.
