Yard DriverThe Yard Driver is primarily responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the company needs. The Yard Driver will also be responsible for completing local deliveries as needed. Other responsibilities include:Operate Yard Truck to maneuver and park large, oversized loads.Responsible for accounting for records involving container numbers.Must function and interact daily with distribution center personnel and comply with safety requirements.Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch, operations, and personnel.Move trailers in and out of bays, inspect new deliveries and provide support where needed.Maintain a safe work environment and practice safe work habits per company policies.Wear and proper use of personal protective equipment.Maintain compliance with ELD, vehicle condition reports, and all other aspects of DOT compliance. Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center yard. Sitting: 90%. Standing, walking, lifting, shifting or arranging product: 5%.
