Computer and Information Systems Manager

Lead focused technology initiatives that also help improve next-generation AI systems through practical, real-world expertise. This remote contract role centers on project planning, external vendor oversight, team coordination, stakeholder communication, and delivering measurable results. No prior AI experience is required.

• Create comprehensive project plans that define timelines, deliverables, resource allocation, scope, and constraints.
• Coordinate and oversee external vendors, ensuring deliverables meet established service-level agreements.
• Guide project participants, promote effective collaboration, and resolve conflicts to keep work on track.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early, and support timely decision-making.
• Prepare concise, actionable written and verbal updates on project status, risks, and outcomes for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain quality standards throughout the project and ensure objectives are achieved within scope and constraints.
• Contribute domain insights and feedback that support continuous improvement of AI models for technology-management scenarios.

• 6+ years of experience leading multi-quarter technology initiatives with full-cycle ownership, including planning, vendor coordination, and results delivery.
• Demonstrated team management, cross-functional leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills in complex projects.
• Successful experience managing and negotiating with external technology vendors.
• Strong ability to establish, monitor, and enforce service-level agreements and report on vendor performance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex updates into clear information for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience producing actionable project documentation and executive-level reports.
• Experience contributing to or leading projects where insights informed process improvements or technology-adoption decisions.

• Remote contract engagement.

$70 to $130 per hour.
