Licensed Veterinary Technician | LVT | Surgery Location: Lynnwood, WA Schedule: Full-time, Sunday‑Wednesday 7a‑5:30p Compensation: $27‑38 per hour Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is a 24‑hour Emergency and Critical Care and Specialty hospital. The facility offers a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine and supports Emergency and Critical Care, Neurology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology and Radiology in one location. Experience & Skills Requirements Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) required 1‑2 years of clinical experience preferred Experience with surgical, anesthesia, and dental procedures Role Responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments. Maintain comprehensive medical records using practice systems. Obtain health history from clients and maintain medical charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
