Facilities Maintenance Worker Manual Labor Williamstown, NJ, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1141 Salary Range: $22.00 To $23.03 Hourly This Maintenance Worker position is a highly versatile repair and maintenance position. This position helps to maintain administrative offices, residential homes, day programs and camp facilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. An ideal candidate has at least 1 years of experience in 3+ skilled training areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and roofing. Position Full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt. Typical hours are from 8am – 4pm. Some flexibility is required, including scheduled rotating on-call, weekends and evenings. Locations available throughout Gloucester County. This position operates in an indoor and/or outside fieldwork setting. This position is supervised by the Facilities Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains work sites in compliance with OSHA requirements Conducts and performs tasks including painting, structural repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishing of buildings, plumbing and electrical Performs ground maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, wedging, raking, disposal of leaves and debris Performs Snow removal activities, including shoveling, plowing, salt, sand, etc Assists with implementing a preventive maintenance schedule Ability to adjust to work procedures and work schedules to meet production schedules, including availability for special events as assigned Works along with other facility/maintenance workers, internally and external contractors to coordinate activities and ensure timely completion of tasks Primary department, work location and schedule may vary. Maintain confidentiality Comply with the DDD Program Manual, The Arc Gloucester Policies and Procedures Manual and applicable state, local and federal regulations, including any COVID-19 vaccination mandates & policies Must cooperate and participate in reviews, investigations, and inspections, including but not limited to DHS Licensing and DHS staff. Occasional management responsibilities, including assisting with trainings, planning, workflow, and problem solving Complete and maintain required training Additional responsibilities as required Qualifications Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (preferred) Must be 18 years of age or older A Minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training in at least 3 skilled trades, including Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC and Roofing Knowledge or experience with supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred Must have a current, non-probationary driver’s license with 5 points or less, and deemed acceptable to drive by The Arc Gloucester’s liability insurance company Successfully pass initial and ongoing State/Federal Criminal Background checks, including but not limited to Fingerprinting, CARI checks, Central Registry checks, MVR and drug screens Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, leadership, families, State and Federal agencies, and most importantly the individuals we serve Physical Requirements While performing the essential functions of this position, the following are required, with or without reasonable accommodation: Ability to stand, sit, drive, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk to hear, and taste or smell for extended periods of time Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms Ability to operate a computers, phone and other relevant technology Physical duties, including but not limited to carrying, driving, general lifting (at least 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs.), assisting with transferring and lifting, pushing and pulling (resistance of at least 25 lbs.), bending, twisting, squatting, cleaning, and climbing stairs #J-18808-Ljbffr
