The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end resultsUtilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issuesAn ideal candidate will be hands on engineering lead with a knack of solving complex data engineering problemsExperience in Wealth Investment data domain is preferred; an ideal candidate will have experience with a large global bank.Experience in design and development of batch/real time Spark processing pipelines. Experience with Kafka is preferredKnowledge of Spark framework – Core Spark, Spark Data Frames, Spark streamingExcellent communication skills and can manage a complex set of stakeholders with a diverse background and ask.Ability to execute multiple priorities and work with stakeholders ensuring appropriate prioritization.An ideal candidate is expected to work and deliver in an enterprise grade Data Governance environment, ensuring adherence to Lineage. Metadata, Catalog, Data Quality, Validation and Reconciliation.Enable cross platform interoperability with focus on self-service and real-time data delivery.Experience with AI technologies including coding assistant like Microsoft Copilot, Calude Code and DevinEnsure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standardsIntegrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goalsProvide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sourcesInfluence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Recommended Qualifications:10+ years of relevant experienceExtensive experience in applications developmentExperience in Wealth Management / Private Bank data space.
