Role Description The Store Manager role at Hot Topic in Hanover, MD is a full-time, on-site position responsible for leading the store team and delivering an exceptional retail experience. Day-to-day duties include overseeing store operations, driving sales, managing staffing and scheduling, and ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. The Store Manager trains, coaches, and develops team members, sets performance expectations, and creates an engaging, inclusive environment aligned with Hot Topic’s brand and values. This role is accountable for visual merchandising, inventory management, and retail loss prevention practices to protect assets and maintain an organized, well-presented store. The Store Manager also analyzes store metrics, implements company initiatives, and collaborates with district and corporate partners to achieve business goals. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to lead Store Management functions, including operations, scheduling, staffing, and performance management. Strong focus on Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a track record of creating positive, engaging in-store experiences. Excellent Communication skills for interacting with customers, coaching team members, and partnering with leadership. Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices and basic understanding of inventory control and cash handling procedures. Prior experience in retail management or supervisory roles, preferably in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Proven skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and managing multiple priorities under pressure. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
