We are a family-owned Trucking company with three divisions all operating from one central location. We are seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused Human Resource Manager to support our employees and help maintain a positive, compliant workplace.

This position provides HR support across all three divisions. Because our operations are centralized, you'll work closely with managers and employees in one location, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee onboarding, orientation, and new hire paperwork
• Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and answer employee questions
• Support payroll by maintaining accurate employee information
• Assist with employee relations and performance documentation
• Help ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local employment laws
• Coordinate employee training, certifications, and required documentation
• Assist with OSHA and MSHA compliance, safety documentation, and recordkeeping
• Support day-to-day HR operations and special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Previous Human Resources experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with OSHA and MSHA regulations is preferred
• Experience in the trucking, construction, excavation, or ready mix industry is a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Extensive experience in human capital management (HCM), human resources management (HRM), and HR systems such as Oracle HCM or UltiPro.
• Proven ability in talent acquisition, recruiting strategies, and HR sourcing techniques to attract top talent.
• Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, FMLA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and HR legal compliance standards.
• Expertise in performance management systems, training & development programs, and employee evaluation methods.
• Skilled in project management with a focus on organizational design, strategic planning, affirmative action planning, and workforce management.
• Proficiency in data analysis using Excel
• Excellent communication skills for effective employee relations and conflict management; capable of handling confidential information with integrity.
