Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions in-home or at our outpatient center, focusing on the unique needs of each child and family.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that address social skills, coping strategies, and anger management techniques to help reduce high-risk behaviors.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team to create and implement treatment plans that benefit the youth and their caretakers.
\n
• Document all therapeutic interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and recommendations, adhering to strict timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly interdisciplinary meetings to discuss client progress and collective strategies for improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving children between the ages of 3 and 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. By offering targeted therapeutic services, you’ll be directly contributing to their emotional, behavioral, and social development while empowering families to improve their overall dynamics and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy, or related fields is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license issued by the state of California.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some flexibility for weekends.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle to facilitate home visits is necessary.
\n
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 3 years of direct experience in providing behavior support and therapy services to children, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Familiarity with positive behavior support models and interventions.
\n
• Experience working collaboratively with families and various stakeholders in therapeutic settings.

• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese are highly desirable and will enhance our team's ability to serve a diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
