Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s background and trauma history, which aids in formulating appropriate and individualized treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and long-term resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), effectively in individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that encourage connection and shared experience among patients, enabling collective healing and support.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, counselors, and support staff to provide integrated, holistic care that addresses complex patient needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them to utilize available resources effectively.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation, complying with all legal and ethical standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clients you will work with are individuals coping with the effects of traumatic experiences, which may include veterans, survivors of abuse, and those dealing with sudden loss or crisis situations. Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.

• Demonstrable understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to cultivate strong therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n
