Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify and understand the individual needs of clients, helping to shape personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver one-on-one therapy sessions with individuals and families, allowing for tailored interventions that respect clients’ unique backgrounds.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups designed to foster support, education, and a sense of community among clients dealing with similar challenges.

• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and clinical social workers, to provide coordinated care that addresses all aspects of client health.

• Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, equipping clients with coping strategies and immediate support during mental health emergencies.

• Deliver education to clients regarding their diagnoses, treatment options, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and foster recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards using advanced Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure continuity of care.

• Engage in regular team meetings and professional development activities to elevate care standards and remain informed about emerging research and best practices in mental health therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits\n
